Advertising, remarketing and call tracking
This site advertises on Google. Three things follow from that, and they are worth stating plainly
rather than leaving inside the table above.
- Remarketing. Google is told that a browser visited this site, so that Forerunner’s
adverts can be shown to that browser again later on Google and on other websites in Google’s network. - Conversion measurement. If you arrived from a Google advert and then send an
enquiry or call, Google is told that the advert led to it. Google reports this to us as a count,
not as your name. - The telephone number you see can change. Google’s call tracking may replace the
number displayed on this site with a Google forwarding number that connects to the same office.
It is used to work out which advert produced the call. If it is in use, the call is routed through
Google before it reaches us.
None of this happens until you accept advertising cookies on the banner.
Security and delivery
This site is delivered through Cloudflare. If Cloudflare needs to confirm that you are a person
rather than automated traffic, it may place a short-lived cookie in your browser for that purpose.
This happens only when a visit is challenged; it does not happen on an ordinary visit.
Your choice
When you first arrive, a banner asks what you want. Accept all turns on the
analytics and advertising cookies listed above. Reject all leaves them off.
Manage preferences lets you decide category by category. Refusing is one click, in
the same place, and is no harder than accepting.
Until you choose, nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set. Google’s tags are told at
the moment the page loads that they may not store anything in your browser, so no analytics or
advertising cookie is written and no advertising identifier is read.
Your choice is remembered in your own browser, not in an account. To change it, clear this site’s
